To my surprise, I arrive at a small spring and pool of water in the east fork of Beecher Canyon

A trickle of water drips down peacefully out of the rocks above the pool. Silence otherwise. This spring isn't marked on any of my maps. A lone bird flaps away noisily upon my approach.
